Clear handling of business information.

Last updated 16 August 2026. This launch document must be completed with the operator’s legal details before the service goes live.

What we collect from customers and prospective customers

When you request a review, reserve a place or contact us, we collect the information you provide: your name, work email, practice name, website, service preferences, market preferences and message. We also keep payment and service records. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by us.

Why we use it

We use this information to assess your requested market, provide the service, administer payment, answer questions, prevent misuse, improve relevance and keep the records required to operate the business. The usual legal bases are taking steps at your request before a contract, performing the contract and our legitimate interests in operating and improving a business-to-business service.

Public charity information

The product uses public information made available by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Reports are designed around organisational facts and contact routes. Personal trustee contact details are excluded. A public record is not treated as evidence that a charity wants a new adviser.

Who receives information

Information may be processed by our hosting, email, payment and workflow providers where needed to run the service. We do not sell the contact details supplied by customers. A signal card may be supplied to one suitable customer under the pilot allocation rules, but we do not provide personal trustee lists.

Retention

Unsuccessful pilot enquiries are normally deleted or anonymised after 12 months. Customer and transaction records are kept for the service period and any longer period required for tax, accounting or legal purposes. Opt-out and suppression records are kept as long as needed to respect the request.

Your choices and rights

You may ask for access, correction or deletion where the law provides it, object to certain uses, or ask us to restrict processing. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact hello@causedocket.co.uk first so we can investigate promptly.

Cookies

The launch site uses no advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Essential hosting and security logs may record technical information needed to deliver and protect the service.

Corrections

If a report contains an inaccurate or outdated organisational fact, contact hello@causedocket.co.uk. We will check the cited source, correct our record and notify affected customers where appropriate.
